Tim Brilley took over an 0-9 team at Morton High School in Morton, IL and within two years had the Potters in the playoffs and 13 wins in the last two years. In 2017 the Potters went 7-4 and reached the 2nd round of the Illinois High School Playoffs. The Potters rolled up 3,706 rushing yards, 50 touchdowns, and 336 rushing yards per game. Their QB ran for 1,865 yards with 27 touchdowns. Brilley has the Morton Potter football program on the rise.
Creating a Dynamic Running Game With 3 Schemes
The Morton offense is predicated on 3 main schemes – Zone, Power, and Counter. In the zone read Brilley demonstrates how the QB is used in this series. The power read (frontside read) incorporates the wide receiver power read, power toss, and old school power. Finally, learn the Morton counter read (backside read) which features QB counter, QB counter toss, and jet read, jet sweep, and jet pass. His use of motions make this a truly dynamic running attack.
