Scott Marsh, Head Coach Roncalli High School, Indianapolis IN

Scott Marsh was named the head coach at Roncalli High School in 2017 after a stellar career as a defensive position coach and defensive coordinator. He was the linebackers coach and special teams coordinator at Warren Central High School in 2006 for the Warriors’ unbeaten state championship team. Then, as the defensive coordinator at Roncalli in 2016 the Rebels allowed just 14.6 points per game in a 15-0 state championship season and held six opponents under 10 points. Marsh has been running the 3-3 stack defense for 16 years.

Roncalli Odd Stack Defense

In this odd stack defense presentation Coach Marsh begins by setting the front. He includes the Roncalli philosophy of the base 3-3 of right end, nose, left end and how they work with the Lou, Mike, and Rob linebackers – no flipping. He then goes into his 5 spoke secondary and split field coverages. The presentation then moves into 1st & 2nd down tight match quarters coverage as well as package defenses on 3rd down. Plenty of diagrams and game film help illustrate the adjustments to various formations and stunts and blitzes Roncalli uses as changeups. A very detailed presentation.
