Zach Turner, Offensive Coordinator, Kenton HS, Kenton, OH

Now coaching at Bluffton University in Ohio, Coach Zach Turner spent several years as an offensive coordinator at the high school level, most notably at Kenton HS in Ohio. During his time as the OC at Kenton he was part of one of the top passing offenses in the state of Ohio. During the 2016 season Kenton threw for over 3200 yards which included the top receiver in the state of Ohio (93 receptions for 1388 yards and 12 TD’s). In 2017 the Wildcats threw for over 3500 yards in which they had three receivers over 750 yards including a freshmen who eclipsed 1000 yards.

This video is one of the most detailed position play videos we’ve had here on Chiefpigskin.  This 80 minute study on coaching wide receivers starts with identifying a philosophy and drills that may fit what you want your receivers to do.  He then covers drills and coaching points from stance and starts, to route footwork, ball skills, and blocking including practice and game film for all.  In all it includes nearly an hour of practice and game film.
